Hello to you all professionals out there,
I wonder if I can get your professional thought on my question.
I have been offered two projects. One is quite new and it will have to be done in ASP.NET 2.0 using C# and SQL Server 2005 in an office which is about 40 miles from where I live, which means I have to drive 80 miles each day. The other is to continue with an existing project which is in VB.NET(windows) and SQL Server 2000 (for which I am allowed to work from home).
I really like the sound of the .NET 2.0 and sql 2005 but can not decide on which one to go for as the other one (VB.NET 1.1(windows) project) can be done from home.
What would you do if you were me
Thanks guys.

What would you do if you were me? (2.0 or 1.1)

Think of it like this:
After sleep and work, you only have about 6 hours a day left.
Every hour spent travelling eats 17% of your free time.
3 hours travelling per day would reduce your free time by 50%
Work isn't that important

HI,
If I were you, Id have to choose the 2.0 project (given the idea that you still don't know VS2005). Learning a new thing is pretty exciting plus its an upgrade to your skills. I really hate being stagnant on my programming skills. I tend to learn new things if given the opportunity. Even if it means that I have to drive 40 miles to work...
cheers,
