i am new to this, but have developed a working web page in visual web developer express 2005 edition. It works fine on my computer when i run it, it opens a perfect working web page. However does not seem to work on any hosting sites. I have tried quite a few that say they are for ASP etc , but none seem to work. Frustrating to see it working on my computer but not anywhere else.
Is there anyone out there who can help me please before this drives me mad

I have experienced an unexpected behavior on such sites:
Genotec is offering no free hosting .
Netcetera is no longer active ( "migrated" to a developer package , that is charged ).
myhosting.com is offering no free hosting .
Hosting.com is offering no free hosting .
Quantasoft requires address.

ASP and ASP.net are different technologies. So when hosting, make sure it support ASP.NET 2.0
I have yet to find a free reliable ASP.NET hosting service - but I pay for my hosting which is pretty good including SQL Server 2000.

It is not neccessary to be free.
Our beta testing requires , that application is deployed far from our corporate network.
We expect that deployment will not be too complicated.

Hi!
Most hosting companies offer ASP hosting for free, but they charge for their ASP.NET hosting, which is what VWD2005 does. There are a few companies who offer free ASP.NET hosting, just do a search on search.msn.com for "free asp.net hosting" and you'll come up with quite a few.
The best place for asking ASP.NET questions is on the ASP.NET community site, and in the forums there. Check out
