Mail Problem with outlook account and IIS SMTP Server

I have developped an application with WWF who send an email to an local outlook account.For this I activated the smtp server of IIS , then I created an outlook account to receive the mail. I set the POP3 and SMTP server as localhost, the problem after sending the mail from the application and when I am trying to synchronize the mail box , operation related with downloading messages failed...

I think that I can conclude that the POP3 configuration was done in a wrong way. but I can resolve this...Can you help me... Thanks
