Does anyone know if it is at all possible to get Virtual PC 2004 running on XP x64 Edition.

Hi,
It is not possible to run Virtual PC 2004 on a x64 machine with a 64-bit OS running on it. This option will be supported on Virtual Server 2005 once SP1 is released for Virtual Server 2005.
