Is anyone having problems with messengeractivitysdk

When I download the sdk and then open messengerp2p.chm, all the topics are blank. I am experiencing this problem on my work pc as well as my home pc, so that it appears to be a problem with the sdk help file.

Thanks,

Jeff

No problem, I had the same thing, but I searched a bit and found the solution. I hope this helps other people too.
It isn't a bug btw, but it's a result of MS's security policy...

    Hi Jonathan,< xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Thanks for checking it out and replying. If it's working for you it has to be my computers. I was thinking that because I am having the same problem on two different computers that the problem is with the help file - but apparently not.

    Thanks,

    Jeff

    Hi Jeff,

I just downloaded it again here on my notebook and it seems to be fine here.  I'd be happy to e-mail it to you if you wish.

Right-click the .chm file and select the Properties...  option   Make sure the file isn't restricted because it was received from the Internet - it's a checkbox at the bottom of the Properties dialog, sorry don't remember the exact wording.

This shouldn't be problem though if you downloaded it as a .ZIP from the MSDN site.  I downloaded it and I'm not having any problems.

Had that to, it's because of SP 2 I think...
If you trust the Help file you downloaded (I guess you do), double-click it, if a popup appears asking you if you really want to open it, check the "Never show this warning again" option, and open it. Maybe you have to open it again, at least this should work.
It took me a while to discover this, but I know I found an article about it on the MSDN pages. I can't find it anymore, but I know it was something about this. Windows blocks chm files by default, but there is a way to unlock them... So it isn't a problem of the messenger activity api, but it appears with all the chm files you download. I hope this helps you.

But when you click YES it should allow access, oh well.

J-Thread, I would like to give a thanks to you, i was waiting for the usual "Your computer must be stuffed" reply, But i tried what you said the first time, and worked 100%, didnt even have to reload it...

It must be a bug in windows, because now any *.chm file i download will automatically open without a warning, which kind of sucks, It should have worked straight away when i clicked "Yes, open this goddamn thing"

I really appreciate your help, Just as i was reading your message i had installed a "CHM to HTML" client, which would have been a pain. but now its gone

Once again, Thanks, Youve saved me alot of time
