I've noticed a number of instances with users not being able to access our P4 application because the Activities menu is consistently unavailable. I have witnessed this situation myself over several home broadband connections and the Activity list comes up with the following message:
"List of games or activities is temporarily unavailable. Please close and try again later."
I initially thought this was due to a restriction on the client machine's network, but this has happened to me in my own home after a recent move. I've changed nothing...even my provider is the same, but the Activities menu is inaccessible from home.
Any thoughts

I've got two Passports set to a UK location and they have a very limited set of Games and Activities compared to my one US Passport (i'd say the lists are easily half the size).
So if you have no location set you may well be denied access to the activities as it has no idea which country's content to show you.

Dear All,
Just change your location only then you would be able to activate your games.

I used to be able to access these games but haven't done so since a couple of updates.
Please write back if you've found the solution to this issues.
Thanks.

issue seems to be associated with ones passport account. so my guess is that when you click on the games, something somewhere check your passport account to determine which games to be displayed now my passport account is very old, and the location settings are not set. could this be the issue microsoft has expanded the content of a passport user profile... so i wont be suprised if this only affects a certain set of people who created their profiles during a certain period back in time.
can others check by creating new passport profiles to see if the games list shows up when you login as the new user

Any help you can give would be appreciated!

For informations sake:
Windows XP Build 2600.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301-1519 (Sp2)
MSN Messenger Build 7.5.0311
I am running Patchou's Messenger Plus build 3.61.145 if that might be contributing to the problem.
I am on a 2MB ADSL connection supplied by Toucan
I'm running Norton Internet Security 2005... could firewalls be having any effect

My girlfriend in bulgaria, she has this same message, but when i asked her to sign in with my UK passport the games worked fine.
If you goto your hotmail (email) account on the top right there is options tab, here you can change your settings, inlcuding location.....she setting hers from bulgaria to UK, ill post if it works then or not.
