I dream to get one WLM cuz i think it must be something different from all other messengers.

    help me pls!

Pardon me, but how dare you say 'Boter Kaas & Eieren' is not a proper programme. The bugs have been corrected, it is just a damn good program. Can you at least give 2 more reasons why I like it, and it plays on Ubuntu Linux, so what more could you wish for

  • Cam Buschel

If anyone has an extra one it would be great!

Please shoot me an email to: jtech7@hotmail.com

Pfew! I got all nervous when reading the first four, thinking I was too late :P
Luckily I was still in, but last ;)
When can we expect the invitation in our mailboxes

    On a little sidenote,
I'm a bit suprised something like "Boter kaas en eieren" got approved, as it's practically just the SDK sample :/

  • WillyNT

    Congrats TB and the others!

I completely agree with Joost & tb regarding to the boter kaas en eieren application.
I haven't checked the source but it seems all he did is just altering some code:

"The layout has changed, and of course, also the text."

PS: I understand you're all quite busy, but could there be done something about all the "invite me to the beta"-posts It's getting quite annoying at a forum regarding to Messenger API's.

  • Michael Henderson

Pardon me for being so blunt, but aproving "Boter kaas en eieren" is a low in my opinion.

    1) The entry is not English (let alone proper Dutch).
    2) The person who entered the application did not wrote it, its a 100% exact copy of the SDK sample.

And a general remark, it also stuns me that applications filled with bugs got approved.. almost seems if the team only checks the XML and blindly approves the entry, just my 2 cents.
    < xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

    An eligible Activity API Application is originally developed (e.g., must not violate or infringe on any applicable law or regulation or third-party rights), self-installing add-on code for Microsoft MSN Messenger using the SDK that, in either a Participant-designated Gaming or Non-Gaming Activity Category (but not both Categories, as confirmed by Microsoft in its sole discretion prior to publication on the Site in the Activity API Application Gallery), will enhance the value and/or performance of MSN Messenger utilizing the insert data Application Programming Interface (API) available in the SDK to insert data or other content into MSN Messenger from other program(s). Additionally, the Activity API Application: must be in compliance with the .net MSN Messenger Service Terms of Use must be written in English;

    Hi there,

Have the invitations already been sent out I'm one of the people (Daniel Tse) on the list and if it has already been sent-I think it may have been accidentally marked as spam. (Sorry!) Is it possible to send it again to the same address I'll try to be more attentive this time.

    Thanks!
    Dan

    Dan,

There was a problem sending out the invitations to the winners. We are fixing the problem and the invitations should be sent out shortly.

Hmmm, I hadn't expected anyone to do anything like this, but after joost mentioned it I couldn't help but check if the boter-kaas-en-eieren application is a copy of the SDK sample.
I decided to run both files trough windiff, and suprisingly, they where almost 100% similar.
In the script nothing was changed except for some language strings. And all that was changed in the HTML are some <table> alignments...

I am really disappointed something like this got accepted. Not only does it break the rule that all applications should be written in english, it's also a clear case of fraud as the contestant did not write that code himself, at all.

    EDIT:
To top it off, the application doesn't even WORK properly! When adding a cross or a circle, all you see is the little document with a cross indicating a faulty or non-existant image :/

as i said in your seperate thread, it's not about BKEE not being a good game.  It's the fact that the self-proclaimed writer of it didn't write anything at all, but blatantly copied the Tic-Tac-Toe source and changed a few graphics...
