MSN Messenger API for audio conversations

Hi,
I have used MSN Messenger API Type Library from which i can send and recieve only text messages. But i wish to do the same for audio conversations. Can anyone please guide me where and what API will support audio converstation of MSN Messenger or any other messenger please.

    Thanx a lot Scott. But would i be able to do something like Skype out does, whereby when one skype user calls other who is away from PC will route the call to PSTN number.
    Is that possible in MSN Messenger to route the audio conversation to a PSTN number.
    Any comments would help me please.
