Thanks for the response, Yes I tried specifying emulators IP Address but still it doesnt work, the emulator can ping my desktop and other computers on the network but pinging the emulator from my desktop its Request timed out.
Hi Egay, I managed to ping my emulator. Here's a few things to check:
Do not "cradle" your emulator (by default, it's not cradled).
Configure your Emulator Properties, under Network tab, check the checkbox "Enable NE2000 ..."
Under Settings-> Connections-> Network Cards. Check that the card connects to "Work". Click on the NE2000 adapter, ensure that "Use server-assigned..." is selected. (This assumes you have DHCP in your network).
Under Settings-> Connections-> Connections-> Advanced, click Select Networks, and change the first dropdown to "My Work Network" (which the emulated network card is providing).
Soft reset the emulator.
To find out the IP address assigned to the emulator, go to Settings-> Connections-> Network Cards, & click the NE2000 adapter.
Then you can ping that address from your host computer.
How to ping a winCE emulator from desktop in the same machine.

and it just work fine
which IP Adress you are pinging
Probably you use the wrong one, it should be the address which is set for the
NE2000 comp Card.
Probably you already use it but I suggest to try the following tool
vxUtil
