I'm seeing some really weird behavior from remote spy.
I've built a test application that is an single document (no doclist)
MFC app w/ActiveX support for Windows Mobile 5 PPC version. VS2005
debugger is started and the app is running on the emulator.
First weirdness: When I click on the "find window" button in remote
spy, the "Menu" button on the test app running on the emulator fires
and the menu pops up (the one with "Edit" and "Tools" submenus.
Second weirdness: Clicking on items in the emulator does not locate the
underlying window in remote spy. Remote spy seems to always "find" the
top level window for the active app.
Third weirdness: I never see any windows messages in remote spy.
What is going on here This used to work great under eVC4 (or so I recall).

Remote spy not working?

Which version of Remote Spy are you using
Is it the version that shipped with PlatformBuilder 5.0 or VS 2005
SDdot1
I found a walkaround but I do not know whether it works in your environment. Take a look here:
Remote CE Spy shipped with Visual Studio 2005 fails to intercept windows messages: Check the solution here!

I am in the same boat: Using the version shipped with VS2005, which does not work. Well, sort of... Some windows and a lot of messages are not reported.
The one shipped with EVC++ works perfectly.
Please let me know whether you guys have the walkaround or whether I can download a new version anywhere...
