Device Emulator connectivity problem

Hi all!

I can't connect to the Internet using the Device Emulator that is shipped with Visual Studio 2005 RTM. I have followed the instructions at the page http://blogs.msdn.com/akhune/archive/2005/11/16/493329.aspx, but when I start Pocket IE and try to go, for example, to www.google.com, after a few seconds a message appears saying "Cannot connect with current connection settings". Pheraps there is a problem because on this machine I had previously installed the Beta 2 of VS2005, then I removed it with the "clean-up tool" to install the RTM. In fact, on an other PC with a fresh installation of VS, with the instruction at Akune's WebLog I manage to connect to the Internet correctly.

What could I do to solve the problem

Thanks in advance,

Ah I found my problem; I needed to change the connection settings in ActiveSync to allow DMA connections

I have the same problems, except I've never had a beta installed on the problem machine.

When I attempt to "cradle" the device activesync never sees the action, and so there's no networking. There are no saved states anywhere :)

This error could occur when the proxy server settings are not correct. Could you check your proxy server values inside the Connections tab of Settings

It could also be the case that your savedstates are still holding your Beta time settings. Could you please try connecting after clearing the save state to make sure that your emulator is infact using the expected configuration values

    thanks
