My question isn't how to configure PPC to use internet.. I would like to create a Web application for smart devices and I would like to run it using the emulator PPC and his integrated browser Internet Explorer. But, I don't know which address to write in Address bar of IE in PPC to run the applications I hope you understand my question...

My problem is as follows .. I create a new device application and try to run in in emulator.. the emulator starts just fine, but it won't connect to it! At all!
The error is "Connection failed. Could not connect to network. Verify network configuration"
    What should I do
    Thx...

    Gr8...

I don't fully understand your question. Do you mean how to configure PPC to use internet

If yes, then following are the steps

    1. Go to Start->Settings->Connections->Connections in PPC.
    2. Setup proxy server. Click "This network connects to internet" and specify your proxy server.
    3. Now in Advanced tab Select Network, in the first combobox select My Work Network.
And you are done. Open www.microsoft.com

If your network doesnot use proxy, then in place of step 2 and 3, configure the settings for your ISP.

    -Thanks,
    Mohit

    Hi,
Please go through the following checklist and let me know your responses for the same

    1. Check whether Tools->Options->Device Tools->Device->Properties->Transport has TCP Connect Transport/DMA Transport selected.

    2. If DMA Transport is not there in the list then
       a) Try installing the DMA transport from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx FamilyID=0E05817F-08D6-48A2-A572-CF77ED72C5BE&displaylang=en
       b) Select DMA transport in transport box.
       c) Try connecting emulator.

    3. If you want TCP transport to be used,
       a) Select Emulator->Options->Network, select "Enable NE2000 ...."
       b) In the Transport->Configure box, ethernet address is configured properly. Your device should be in ip range of desktop. After this step try starting the device and see the device ip address from device's Start->Settings->Connections->Network Cards->NE 2000... and then try to ping this IP from desktop.
       c) Other solution would be to install the loopback adapter and then try the ping step above.

I would recommend DMA transport to be used as it is faster.

Hope these steps would make connection to be working.

    -Thanks,
    Mohit
