Will there be a Compact Framework 3.0?

I noticed that WinFX was recently renamed Framework 3.0. Does this mean we will be getting a Compact Framework 3.0 as well :P

    Does this mean that the CF 2.0 will be included in the ROM for new releases of PDAs and the 3.0 will be distributed Will we ever see these new releases of the CF distributed through the ROMs of the PDAs (Like the CF 1.0 is distributed now)

    it only seems like yesterday we had SQL Server 2005 and VS 2005 (.NET 2.0) released - so soon another version of the framework

    good stuff however really shouldve been v2.1 well, thats just me :)

    Next version of NETCF is 3.5 to align with desktop currently in beta. It is available as part of Orcas Beta1which can be downloaded from Microsoft’s web site.
