We are a registered partner and have registered for redistribution rights to SQL2005 Express. We would like to know if SSMSE will fall into the redistributable category, or can we publish a link to the download from our support site, (troublesome link maintenance) We do not think we want to give this tool to all of our Express users, but it certainly would be handy for Power Users or in particular support cases.

So, you are saying that we are able to redistribute SSMSE with Express Will it come as a seperate EXE or as a bundled build Since we registered for Express, I assume our existing registration covers distribution of SSMSE. Do you know what build it will be / is available on If we choose the link instead, is there a style guide for the link text Will there be a suggested static link that Microsoft will maintain

Per the product team:
SSMSE is not redistributable separately stand-alone, so it will have to be redistributed with SQL Server Express.
You can provide a link to SSMSE from your download site as long as you clearly identify it as a link to Microsoft.
