VS2005: Any more CTP or RC builds to come?

VS Release Team,

I've searched these forums and have even researched a number of blogs, but I haven't been able to find out when the next VS2005 drops will be. I'm currently using the July CTP for VS2005 Pro, and am tracking a number of issues with my current development project that I'm hoping will be resolved in future RTM builds, either within Visual Studio itself (e.g., Forms designer), or as a result to fixes in the Framework.

Could somebody comment on the availability (to MSDN Universal and/or other subscribers) of additional VS2005 drops, including August CTPs and/or Release Candidate (RC) builds Also useful would be to hear whether or not these would also include the corresponding post-Beta2 .NET Framework 2.0 builds.

Microsoft is releasing Release Candidate 1 os VS2005 in Sept 2005. Read about this and other news from Somasegar's blog post here:

Thanks - great to hear about this. I have some questions:

1) Will there be another beta or a "release candidate"
2) I get the impression that the cutoff date for small enhancements and less serious bugs has already passed. What will the cutoff be for reporting serious errors For example, if a serious problem is found and reported in the September CTP, will you have time to fix it, or will it be too late

Per the product team, there will be an August CTP build available on MSDN within the next week. There will also be a September CTP which will be handed out at PDC as well as available on MSDN.

According to Microsoft (but probably unofficially), an August CTP will be released mid-August.
