I have a brand new Dell XPS Fully Loaded and Upgraded, but there is one MS security update that will never load. I have Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005. I also have PC-Cillan Micro Trends Antivirus/Firewall Internet Security Protection. Below is the update that I am not able to get as it fails every time.
Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework, Version 1.1 Service Pack 1 (KB886903) Failed to install
The other issue I have:
I use Outlook Express as my email client and often I get error pop up messages from Micro Trends regarding an OE problem with AntiSpam and it shuts down my email client. I have to then go into my windows processes and shut down the msmsgs.exe file so that I can relaunch OE.
Does anyone have any suggestions please

The Windows Update team has a dedicated support service. You can search for the error message/number on the Windows Update support site (http://support.microsoft.com/ph/6527/) and if you don't find the answers there, you can contact them via online chat or phone.
As for your Outlook Express issue, you might search for the error message/number on http://support.microsoft.com/ scid=ph;en-us;2578, which is the Outlook Express support page.
If you do not find the solutions to the Outlook Express issue on the site above, please email me at budsup@microsoft.com with complete version and error message details as well as the steps leading up to the error.

I've now downloaded the update from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx familyid=8EC6FB8A-29EB-49CF-9DBC-1A0DC2273FF9&displaylang=en
Initially, it still wouldn't install. I then disabled Norton Internet security and the install was successful !! I hope that helps you.
