After attending an ISV community days seminar I didn't not get a clear answer on how to test and certify a web based application. We have created a software-as-service application where the customer only gets a username and password in order to access the application through a web server. I was wondering if we need to send both server components and frontend of the application to veritest or only a username and password so they can login as customers and test how the application performs. Does anyone have any experience on that

We currently have a couple of ways to test hosted applications as described below.
1. As a first choice we ask the ISV to package up their software
and send it to VeriTest for testing just like any other application.
2. If there is some reason why the first choice cannot be done we
can then perform remote testing using one of the desktop share technologies such as Placeware, WebEx, or GoToMyPC. There are several checkpoints we must make that happen to occur during application install time, so we cannot simply accept pre-configured servers at this point.
We can make use of pre-configured servers for some of the components that may make up the entire solution but not for the application that is being tested.
3. If it is a complicated setup, an onsite visit by the ISV is an
option but is the primarily used as last resort.
