What version of Team System do EmpowerISV members get?

What version of Team System do EmpowerISV members get?

  I understand that right now they still have MSDN Universal access and as such have full access to the betas, but my question is what's going to happen when MSDN Universal goes away   Current MSDN Universal subscribers get to upgrade for free to one of the new higher-end subscriptions that comes with an edition of Team System.  Are EmpowerISV members eligible, too   Or do they get something different   I'd like to see ISV's get access to Team Suite instead of just a single edition since everyone in my organization wears all the hats (architect, developer, and tester).

  The Empower program is still a great deal, but I definately don't like the sound of that.  In a small ISV, we have the same requirements as larger corporations to produce secure, high-quality code (at least in my case where we create law enforcement software, but I think that's equally true to all software companies; who sets out to create unsecure, low-quality code ).  Having access to the Team System suite of products would replace a lot of the open source solutions we have crudely tied together (such as NUnit, CruiseControl.NET, Subversion, etc) with a tightly-integrated package that would just generally make my life easier.
  
  It's still a good deal, but I wish we at least got the Team Developer SKU of Team System.

  Empower for ISVs will receive Visual Studio 2005 Professional Edition with an MSDN Premium subscription.  This provides 5 internal use licenses and the MSDN Premium media kit with 5 licenses.

  More information will be released about this over the coming weeks.  Information will be updated on the Microsoft Partner Program site as it becomes available.

  get all us ISV's to start using TS now and then will will keep using it as we grow.
  if we see it as to costly and do not use it then we will be more likely to go to other tools and just not use TS ever....

  I also recall COmic Chat and the early days of MSFT on the internet....
  
  GRASS ROOTS!  let us in the trenches learn and prove the worth of TS to our large customers..... then they will hear how great it is from the 1000's of us...

  Hi Marty, I know this thread is a little old, hopefully you have an alert on it. I don't know if you're from MS or not, but is this information still correct
  
  I spoke to the folks at MSDN yesterday and was assured that Empower customers will be allowed to change each of their 5 Universal to one of the team suite role based subscriptions. I've also had it comfirmed by email that the Universals won't be downgraded to Professionals come november.

  As a current participant, those in the Empower ISV Program may access MSDN Subscriber Downloads and obtain any version of Team System that is available to any other subscriber. As participants are provided universal subscriptions I don't think there is any reason for concern.

  So far I expected no difference for EmpowerISV members. But now, after you have raised the question, I would like to see an official MS reply to this question, too.
