CRM 3.0 doesn’t save my settings

Hi,

I’m having another problem in CRM 3.0. When I change any setting in the CRM system, everytime that I clicked in the OK button it should save my new settings and that’s not happening.

How can I solve this

Thanks,

    Hi Brenda,

What the engineer did, was exactly what I was trying to do, but with the diference that with me the changes are not saved. The steps are the same.

The CRM services and the application pool in the IIS are running under the domain\administrator account (I don’t know if this is relevant).

When I was installing the CRM, this was the only account that gave no error. I’ve tryed to change the accounts to Network Service, atc, but with no luck. None of the accounts are making it possible.

    Hi,

The application pool is running with the account of the domain\administrator, because i had some problems during the instalation. I f i used tthe Network Service account, it would not install. After the instalation. i’ve tried to change for the Network Service account and it doesn’t work with neither of the two accounts.

    Hi,

Here's the latest from the engineer:

I checked my IIS application pool account is Network Service. Is there any error information in the event viewer

    Hi,

The changes that i’m talking about are (for example) changing the date format to yyyy-mm-dd located in Settings/Organization Settings. Other changes inside this folder, it doesn’t save them also.

    Hi

I found the solution in the microsoft dynamics troubleshooting guide

    It worked for me.

    Hi Ricardo,

The engineer tested changing the date format in Settings/Organization Settings and it did save them. Originally, the date in his Calendar showed as mm/dd/yyyy. Then he opened Settings > Organization Settings > Calendar tab and chose yyyy/mm/dd from the drop-down list and hit OK. He opened his Calendar again and the date showed up as yyyy/mm/dd.

If you want to provide the exact steps that you go through, the engineer might be able to spot where the problem lies.

Can you be more specific where you found the solution

  • Marius Bancila

    Per our support engineer:

Would you please tell us where you changed the settings that were not saved There are lots of settings in CRM 3.0. So we need to know where is the problem. J

Please provide the steps to reproduce this issue and I'll make sure that it gets back to the engineer.
