"Find" and "Find and Replace" not working

When I choose "Quick Find" or "Quick Replace", either via the menu or the short cuts keys, the appropriate window does not appear.  The screen blinks several times and the main Visual Basic window loses focus, but that's the only response I get.  I don't recall anything that I might have done to cause this behaviour and so have no idea how to fix it.  I've tried changing the options under Tools/Options/Find and Replace, but that makes no difference.

Any suggestions

"Find" and "Find and Replace" not working

This happens to me a lot.

What I do is to find the window, put it squarely in the center of the screen, save all files and exit.

When I open my project back up again, and invoke find/replace - it's exactly in the center of the screen. When it's lost it's because I lost it and I'm not taking care of it.

I did manage to get it working again but I've forgotten what I did.  I think the trouble was that the "find" window had someone gotten docked and then shrunk beyond visibility (or something similar).  Just now, I tried to recreate what I had done - not a good idea.  I totally messed up my windows.   I floated some that were docked, then tried to dock them again, but they wouldn't stick.  Things quickly went down hill but, luckily, your suggestion worked great and put everything back as it should be.  Thanks.   I'll remember that little trick.

    hi

Have you tried applying the VB Profile. May be this will fix it.

Go to Tools | Import and Export settings.Import and Export Setting Wizard opens.

select option Reset all settings and select the one you desired , like Vb.

    Hope this fixes the problem.

    thanks
