I have installed VS on three different machines and I can only see the toolbox on one of the machines. Is this a known issue
When I create a new Windows Application, I see the form but the toolbox is nowhere to be seen and I can't find any option in the menus to make it appear. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling on one machine and that didn't help either.
Any ideas out there

Where is the toolbox?

A PM at Microsoft figured this out for me. Thanks Aaron!
It ends up that the problem is that the profile data gets cached from a previous beta install. The key indicator that this is the issue is that after you install beta 2 and run it for the first time, you should get a dialog asking you what development environment you would like to use by default. I did not see this dialog when I started beta 2 for the first time.
There is a task in the cleanup tool to fix this for VB Express but not for the main VS SKU. You should be able to fix this by doing the following:
1. Launch regedit
2. Go to HKCU\Software\Microsoft\VisualStudio\8.0
3. Rename the Profile sub-hive to something else
4. Close regedit
5. Relaunch the VS IDE
You may also need to go to Tools | Customize and click the Reset button to reset the toolbar specifically but I didn't have to do this.

Did you have taken a look, if there is a tab at the left side of the IDE window. If there is one you should get the toolbox by moving the mouse over it. Otherwise it would be helpful to provide more information (srceenshots, movies etc.).

Trust me, the toolbox isn't there and there is no "Toolbox" menu selection under "View" either. All that I see is an empty form and I have no way of adding any objects to it.
I also just spent 2 hours removing VS and reinstalling it following the instructions located at http://lab.msdn.microsoft.com/vs2005/uninstall/ and they didn't work.

I've installed Visual Studio 2005 Beta 2 Team Suite. And I've the same problem. I couldn't see the Toolbox anywhere in the IDE.
I also tried locating 'profile sub-hive' under HKCU\Software\Microsoft\VisualStudio\8.0 but I couldn't see anything with "Profile sub-hive".
Am I missing something
I also tried - Tools | Customize and click the Reset button to reset the toolbar but no luch!
Please help me.
