Is it possible to uninstall J 1.1 from Windows XP without having to uninstall everything?

I downloaded J 1.1 without realizing it was a programming download.  I am NOT an experienced computer person!  All of my system information has been taken over, somehow.  Please Help and Thank You.  I don't even have e-mail access anymore, my memory is gone.

I am a bit surprised that these two programs have become uninstallable. FYI .Net 1.1 is built into Windows XP SP2 which you may be running anyway. The J# redistributable is a support file for J# applications. I would describe these two products as runtimes.

Not sure why you say you do not have enough memory to run them Even on a PC with 128mb ram, XP will use a paging file to provide for multiple applications memory needs. XP may run slowly but you will never "run out" of memory due to the way the O/S pages to disk.

Sorry, I am not familiar with Forum's.  I downloaded both the .net framework 1.1 and J# redis. from the updates in Windows, I think.  I just didn't understand what I was downloading.  After doing the System Recovery because of all this, I am not sure I want to download anything else.  I thought it would be removed from my computer, but it wasn't.  I am not a computer expert, by any means.  I mostly use it for my college homework.

I am not a programmer or developer, just a college student.  I checked my systems information and everything has changed, rather like what I would imagine a virus or something.  I can't select either to remove them in the add/remove and in Windows components, neither seems to be listed unless they are in one of the programs that are listed.

What else can I do but remove them, since they require more memory than my computer has

well actualy it's safe to uninstall .net framework and J# redist using add remove program, but download and install .net framework and J# is good for your invesment since there will be a lot application will build by it, my suggest is You install a new redistributable .net framework 2.0 and J# 2.0
