How to Display ASP.NET Template Contents in New Website dialog **

Hello all,

in VS 2005 When clickin on New - Web Site- New Web Site Dialog.

in this dialog

Under Visual Studion Installed Templates. It is showing only Windows Application, Class Library, Windows Control Library, Crystal Reports and Device Applicaion.

How to get ASP.NET Web Site Contents (it is suppose to display ASP.NET WebSite, ASP.NET WebService....)

i am wondering that why New Website Dialog is not displaying those. where as other PCs are displaying properly. I am unable to create a website from VS 20005.

plz tell me solution for this.

Suresh:

Make sure to choose File -> New Web Site, not File -> New Project. The default in 2005 is to use a "project-less" web project, and it appears as a seperate item in the File -> New menu.

It sounds like your configuration is hosed. I'd try re-installing VS.

Hi Ramana,

I am also facing the same problem. After installing VS 2005,I tried to create a new ASP.NET web application by clicking New->Project. I was surprised that ASP.NET web application icon was not at all shown there.

Do you know how to rectify this
