Didn't find option to attach the file, but look below to see how the content of the file looks like. I don't know whatz the format of this file is (My boss says that its ISAM). The main file doesn't hold any extension, but it does carry an accompanying file that has the extension .idx . Please help me determining what driver i must use in order to retrieve data out of it and how the connection string should look like

Ok allen...I tried from yahoo and got the failure delivery error message...I will give you my hotmail id so can send me a test mail from some other id of yours that accepts a 2.5 MB file and i will use that to forward you the files. Does this sounds good

I will try to change the extension to db and try to access it thru ODBC ISAM. But will it automatically make use of that idx file

actually I think the idx is a paradox or dbase index file.
try changing the datafile extension to db and using an odbc ISAM driver.
if you have delphi try using the bde.
