Adding images to a menustrip removes all menustrip entries

Ugh. I just went through my menu system adding images to various options, only for VC# to delete first the entries with images, then when I restarted the IDE to try and fix the problem (having already saved before noticing anything was amiss) the rest of them too. To be clear: the IDE blanked my menustrip when I added images. Oddly, the ContextStrip that I also added images too survived the slaughter.

With that out of the way, is there any way to get my entries back
