When entering a web address to search I get redirected by the %s that appears in the search bar. This only happens when using MSN. Not when searching from rogersyahoo.

Hi thanks for responding.
As an example only, if I search for "westjet" (without the quotations) using Google, which is my search engine in explorer, a window comes up with a list of over 10million web sites that are totally unrelated. In the address bar is the symbol %s not westjet. It doesn't seem to matter what I search for, the same thing happens. If I switch to RogersYahoo I don't have the same problem. It really is a mystery

This sounds like it is a problem that you are having with the web search launching directly from your address bar. This forum is for inquiries specifically regarding Windows Desktop Search. You might have more luck posting your question on one of the Internet Explorer newsgroups:
