The first attempt to print a report by clicking the print button on the MS
report viewer icon does not print. Subsequent clicks will print the report!
This is happening on all computers the application is deployed to. I look at
the print queue and I see that the job is spooled and I also get the taskbar
notification. I have tested numerous other applications and all print on
first attempt.
Is this a known problem or is there a workaround

Because this is a bug, we can't help you with this and you should wait for an hot-fix for this problem. You can track the bug with adding it to your tracker so you will informed when there is a known workaround or a hot-fix for this problem.You posted a link to the other thread and i that thread is the best place to discusse the problem.

Can you reproduce this bug I mean create simple small project and test that it print. If it fails to print - you may to report this to Community/Feedback menu in VS.
