i have a problem opening the server explorer's node in vs 2003. i am using windows 2003 server. please help.
i get the error message: "The requested name is valid, but no data of the requested type was found".

These forum is for issues related to Visual Studio 2005 IDE. For questions related to Visual Studio 2003 I'd suggest you post your query in the public newsgroups [ http://support.microsoft.com/newsgroups/default.aspx ].
Most probablly your computer name must have changed since the install hence Server Explorer might not be able to connect to it. YOu can click the "Add Server" button in server explorer to add a new server. Although you should have enough permissions to access services on the server.
