Controlling a Digital Device (C#)
It is also assumed that you have a digital device connected to the computer. Windows Media Encoder SDK supports digital video (DV) devices connected to an IEEE 1394 digital video port, and video tape recorder (VTR) devices connected through a COM port using the Sony RS422 protocol. Now how can i work around with webcam connected with USB port.(regarding two issues described earlier and further issues like controlling bit rate, frame rate etc and getting statistics)
looking for a possible solution. thnx

Hello Shoaib,
Media Foundation is the new multimedia platform that we are shipping in Vista. It consists of the new audio and video pipeline, Protected Media Path, and DXVA 2.0. This forum has been created to answer questions pertaining only to Media Foundation. It looks like your question isnt related to Media Foundation.
We have started documenting about Media Foundation on MSDN and you can learn more about it here: http://windowssdk.msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp url=/library/en-us/MedFound/html/0d355ad1-d674-432e-809a-9fb27ac5f610.asp

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/community.aspx points to the resources for previously released Windows Media products. The Windows Media Encoder newsgroup sounds like the best fit for your question.
