Visual Studio 2005 RC - Keyboard mapping schemes are empty?

Hi,

I am trying in vain to use the RC version of Team Suite. I have uninstalled the previous Beta 2 and have also run the vsunist.exe tool. Running on XP Pro SP2.

On startup a dialog box with the error that the currentsettings is unavailable. If you attempt any of the reset/import settings it fails with the error "Interrupted by the user", but does create the file.

The Tools->Options->Keyboard->Keyboard mapping schemes dropdown box is empty

Has anyone else seen this issue
Stuart

    Hi,

Sorry that you are having trouble after upgrading to RTM. To fix your problem, please do the following:
       Shutdown all instance of VS
       Click Start > Run…
       Type "devenv /resetuserdata"
Open task manager to make sure devenv.exe is finished running
       Restart VS.

Let me know if this doesn’t work.

    Thanks.

It sounds like you did not uninstall the Beta 2 in the appropriate steps outlined on the MSDN Lab and VS.NET download site. I would advise a complete reformat as being the quickest solution to rectify this problem. From my experience once its been taken out the wrong way it doesnt like to go in or come out properly
